Still a great wreck! - 21/04/12
So not much to tell. We had a nice and uneventful trip to one of the great wrecks in the Baltic, Bonita. I’ve dived it once before and thought it was fantastic and once again the wreck did not disappoint. The wreck is located off the Swedish coast and is sitting perfectly upright, with the deck around 30m and the prop at 40’ish meters. This was my first dive with Casper and it was a real pleasure. Rasmus and Troels had tied off at the railing pretty mid-ship and as we hit the ship we were greeted by 8-10m viz and of course no current. We spent the first min or so with Casper banging his fancy torch which for some reason stopped working on our descent (worked again once we got back in the boat, go figure). After giving up on Casper’s torch (he’s a cave diver so has spares ;-) ) we went along the ship to the stern and had a look at the prop… well anyway at least where the prop should have been. Seemed to me like it was either gone or the .... click here to read the full log and comments

Let the season begin! - 18/03/12
***My camera housing is still broken so no UW pictures :-( *** So after coming back home from the Egypt trip in November I have not managed to get all that many dives in :-( After the fin-losing dive at Hven barge I sort of packed in diving for the year (2011) with only one little shore dive with Bram on the Padi wreck. Ah well, probably had about 100-120 dives in 2011, not too bad I think. Since Christmas I’ve had another four shore dives all of which have been pretty boring. I did have one shore dive with Bram where the viz was probably the lowest I have ever dived. Bram was not visible at an arm’s length, magically Bram found the Mermaid (obstacle course put down for divers at this site) and we didn’t lose each other. It was interesting diving in so low viz that you didn’t see the bottom before you hit it (and this was not in a silted wreck or something fun). The winter came fast and .... click here to read the full log and comments

Back to cold water again - 19/11/11
So after the nice trip to Egypt, it was time to wash out all that warm Red sea water with some good old cold Øresund water. The plan was to go with Aquanaut to M575 an old German WWII Minesweeper which I last visited a month ago. Unfortunately, the weather conditions did not allow a dive on the minesweeper and so the alternative site was an old barge that had sunk near the island of Hven. To be honest I was a little worried I would get really cold but never the less into the green water we went. There was a short.. oh boy this is cold on the face... but after that the water was actually quite pleasant at around 8-10C. Going down the rope it was clear that this was not going to be a dive where the viz would compete with the Red sea viz. As we reached the ''wreck'' viz was probably around half a meter at best. All in all the barge was rather boring and featureless, the only features being the edges and some seemingly random .... click here to read the full log and comments View all pictures from this trip here

Egypt with less metal. - 06/11/11
Yes yes I know, I had already been to Egypt once this year with the DUSAC trip, but when Per from my club asked if anyone wanted to go dive the southern red sea I could not resist. So off to Egypt I went again, I have to admit the trip there started VERY early, as we met in the airport at 4.30am. It was probably a good thing we started that early though, the flight to Hurghada went smooth but it took what felt like an eternity of waiting in line to get our passports stamped. For some reason every single flight seemed to have landed at the same time. Anyway, after escaping the airport (impressively baggage had been lost) we picked up the dive guides we had a 3hr bus trip further south to a port who's name I have forgotten. It was probably at least 7pm before we actually got onboard the liveaboard. We were only 9 Danes on the trip (we were supposed to be 10 but one had to last minute cancel) so the other ''half'' of the boat was occupied by what became known as ''the international group''. A nice group of people .... click here to read the full log and comments View all pictures from this trip here

Finally got my trimix ticket! - 29/10/11
So as you may know the last couple of weekends we have been trying to arrange the dives needed for the Trimix course (IANTD adv. rec. trimix)) I have been taking with Mette and Rasmus. This time we had convinced Bjarne (KDC) to arrange a trip to the wreck Robert with KDC members and boat and we would then tag along in our boat and do our dives, like we did a few weeks ago. Everything, was looking good and after getting new 50L bottles of O2 and He we mixed a lot of gas for the trip. Of course, the day before the actual trip the target wreck was changed. The weather was looking really good and so instead of diving Robert, which is known for being really dark and often have very poor viz, we aimed for Bonita which is in the Baltic compared to Robert which is in the straight between Denmark and Sweden. The trip was a bit longer, but not much though we did have to cross the bridge and go to Sweden to launch our Ribs. Wind and wave wise the weather was .... click here to read the full log and comments View all pictures from this trip here
